The American Diabetes Association (ADA) defines diabetes as a group of metabolic diseases characterized by hyperglycemia resulting from defects in insulin secretion, insulin action, or both. The audience will be able to differentiate between the clinical presentations of type 1 and type 2 diabetes, identify diagnostic criteria for diabetes and prediabetes, differentiate between acute and chronic complications In addition to recommend appropriate treatment and preventive measures for each
