Medical Emergencies in Hajj
Overview
This course provides healthcare professionals with practical, context-specific training on the recognition and management of common medical emergencies during Hajj, with a focus on hypoglycemia, hyperglycemia, diabetic ketoacidosis (DKA), and heat stroke. The course will emphasize early identification, rapid decision-making, and life-saving interventions in field settings. Participants will gain hands-on, evidence-based strategies for triage, stabilization, and escalation of care, while also learning preventive approaches to reduce risks among high-risk pilgrims. The course integrates real-world scenarios to enhance clinical confidence and improve patient outcomes in mass gathering environments.
