Trauma Life Support Course
Overview
It is an important course for all medical staff (Doctors, Nurses, Paramedics and Medical student).
The importance of this course is due to the huge numbers of trauma cases in our countries more marked with Road Traffic Accidents.
It is essential to learn how to deal with trauma cases because of the high rate of trauma cases in Emergency Department.

What I will learn?
By the end of the course, learners will be able to:
1- Recognize the initial assessment of the traumatic patient
2- Understand the principles of resuscitations in trauma.
3- Establish priorities in trauma scenarios.
4- Arrange deposition of the patient
5- Prioritize the traumatic injuries according to recent guidelines.
6- Recognize the differences between blunt and penetrating abdomen injuries .
7- Identify and treat life threatening conditions. (Airway obstruction, Tension pneumothorax , Open pneumothorax , Massive haemothorax)
8- Recognize Shock in trauma and establish its degrees.
9- Select the trauma -related investigations in the appropriate time
10- Differentiate between life threatening and potentially Life threatening injuries
11- Interpret CXR findings correctly
