Overview

Identifications of toxins in intoxicated patients by GCMS is essential for detection of toxins in biological fluids. Based on this course focuses on the drugs of abuse of other poisons that could be detected by GCMS

and the last 3 days will be onsite at The research Lab of the Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology, Faculty of Medicine, Umm Al-Qura University, Makkah, SA.

Practice how to run GCMS analytical method and analyse chromatographic results.
Demonstrate how to run GCMS , develop GCMS methods, and sample preparation for analysis of poisons or toxins in biological fluids in health sectors.
Developing GCMS methods for challenging separations of complicated mixtures of biological samples of trace poisons or unknown poisons and to troubleshoot GCMS .
Compare and analysis of all drugs, drugs of abuse and bilogical toxins.
Deffrentaite biological toxins produced by certain microorganisms, animals, and plants. Examples of toxins of biological origin (Diphtheria Toxin, Tetrodotoxin, Pertussis Toxin, Botulinium Toxin, Snake Venom Toxins, Conotoxin, Ricin and Cyanobacteria
