Parenteral Therapy Workshop
Overview
This course provide an introduction for parenteral therapy to educate healthcare team who work with parenteral therapy and to optimize their knowledge base of safe parenteral therapy practices. It will also help in understanding evolution and overview of aseptic processing and in applying relevant regulatory guidelines associated with pharmacy sterile compounding.

3.To demonstrate cleaning and disinfection of pharmacy-controlled environments
4.To demonstrate proper personnel hand hygiene, hand washing and gowning procedures, gloved fingertip sampling and media fill tests
5.To compile the similarities and differences between sterile preparations with the various risk levels
6.To understand different compounding areas in Laminar Airflow Systems
7.To demonstrate cleaning techniques for sterile and hazardous product environments
8.To understand the standards of practice and apply them to both day-to-day practice, and policy and procedure development
9.To identify process validation procedures for different pharmaceutical products used in CSPs
10.To identify the required elements of a label
11.To identify low, medium, and high-risk preparations
12.To determine appropriate Beyond-Use-Dating for prepared products
13.To demonstrate aseptic preparation verified by sterility testing
