مشـروع نمـوذج الرعايـة الصحيـة الذي نسعى لتطبيق افضل ممارساته يهدف إلـى تقديـم الرعايـة الصحيـة للمسـتفدين مـن الخدمـة
فـي المملكـة، بمـا يكفـل أعلـى مسـتويات الجـودة والكفـاءة للمسـتفيد. كمـا يقـوم بتحقيـق مفهوم الوقايـة، ويوفـر البيئـة المهنيـة الأمثـل للممـارس الصحي. ويأتـي تقديـم النمـوذج مراعيـا لحاجـة الخدمـات الصحيـة فـي المملكـة لتحقيـق خطـط برنامـج التحـول الصحي وأهـداف رؤيـة ٢٠٣٠
وينطلق نموذج الرعاية الجديد من منظور أساسي جوهره تفعيل دور الفرد والمجتمع، والتركيز على جهود تعزيز الصحة وحمايتها والوقاية من المرض باعتبار ذلك خط الدفاع الأول والسبيل الأنجح للسيطرة على الأمراض المزمنة وعوامل الخطر المسببة لها
