What I will learn?
By the end of the session, learners will be able to:
- Recognize the clinical uses of lung ultrasound.
- Choose the appropriate ultrasound system and probe for lung ultrasound imaging.
- Identify lung and chest wall structures on the ultrasound image.
- Identify the basic sonography and signs of lung ultrasound
- Use M-mode imaging to identify the normal “sea-shore” sign and the other characteristic air artifacts suggesting normal aeration pattern and the diaphragmatic movement.
- Identify abnormal lung signs such as pneumothorax, pleural effusion, atelectasis, consolidation and calculating the lung scores
