Diabetes Educator Course
Overview
Diabetes Educator seminar that is open to nurses, dietitians, pharmacists, and Other Health Care Providers who planned involvement in the management and education of individuals with diabetes. Multidisciplinary health care teams interested in organizing or improving a diabetes program are especially encouraged to attend. Professionals preparing to take the Certified Diabetes Educator (CDE) examination will find the course facilitates their study.

Certificate Requirements:
1- ATTENDING CERTIFICATES with CME Hours: It Will be Provided To All Attendees {if you attend 70% of the session live}.
2- TRAINING CERTIFICATES with CME Hours: if you attend 70% of the session live & if you Passed The Written & Oral Assessment.
** Participants who have successfully passed the written assessment are eligible to proceed with the oral assessment, which costs 173SR.**

By the end of the course, participants will be able to:
- Demonstrate knowledge of diabetes pathophysiology, epidemiology and clinical guidelines consistent with a diabetes educator practice level
- Describe the complications of diabetes and identify appropriate pharmacological treatment options.
- Provide diabetes support and care in a culturally-competent manner across the lifespan.
- Apply principles of teaching, learning and behavior change to facilitate self-management skills on individuals with diabetes
- Recognize the importance of an interdisciplinary diabetes care team
- Identify principles of program management to systematically improve the delivery of diabetes education in their practice setting.
- Develop a process involving assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the patient's diabetes education interventions.
